Bitcoin Below $84K as US Treasury Yields Reach Highest Since 2007
Bitcoin (BTC) dropped below $84,000 as US Treasury yields reached their highest level since 2007. The 10-year yield climbed to a peak that pressured risk assets and triggered deleveraging in the crypto market.
XRP fell toward $1.46 after being rejected near $1.60 for the second time. This rejection deepened the market pullback, with other altcoins like Ether (ETH), Solana, Dogecoin, and HYPE also declining.
Futures data showed falling open interest, defensive options positioning, and short-heavy taker flow. However, Litecoin stood out as a notable exception, rising toward $66.95 while much of the market declined. Its futures open interest climbed alongside price, indicating fresh long positioning rather than short covering.
