Bitcoin Breakout Signals End to Crypto Winter
A potential end to crypto winter may be near for Bitcoin, according to Michael Boutros, Senior Market Analyst at StoneX Media. The latest price action shows that this decline has lasted 37 weeks, which is shorter than the previous two declines of 52 and 54 weeks.
BTC closed above its 52-week moving average for the first time in 44 weeks, a signal that appeared before the 2023 advance. Weekly momentum now matches the reading last seen when the record high was set, but this symmetry cuts both ways.
The move is attributed to $1.4 billion of Bitcoin ETF inflows across two sessions, fresh corporate treasury buying, and a short squeeze. However, the daily chart remains in an overbought condition.
