Bitcoin Breaks $64K as Major Altcoins Struggle to Keep Pace
Bitcoin broke above $64,000 on August 18th, outperforming many major altcoins as the broader market saw mixed price movements. The cryptocurrency rose to $64,262, a gain of 1.2% over 24 hours and 0.5% for the week.
HYPE was one of the strongest large capitalization assets, increasing by 1.9% in a day and 8.2% for the week. Venice Token led top 100 gainers with a 12.5% daily rise to $13.70, reaching an annualized revenue claim of over $100 million.
Worldcoin fell 10.8%, while Filecoin and Bitway declined by 6.5% and 6.1% respectively during Tuesday's trading. Bitcoin remains within its $60,000 to $66,000 consolidation range with daily momentum still broadly neutral.
