Bitcoin Bull Market Hinges on Break Above $81,700
CryptoQuant's research suggests that Bitcoin needs to break above $81,700 for a new bull market confirmation. This figure marks a significant resistance zone for the leading cryptocurrency, which has been trading between $76,000 and $82,000 over the past two weeks.
The range of $77,100-$80,200 is identified as the nearest and strongest on-chain resistance zone by Julio Moreno, head of research at CryptoQuant. Long-term holders have sold an average of up to 539,000 BTC within this range in 2026.
If Bitcoin fails to hold above $81,700, it may continue trading within this range. Further resistance is noted at $83,600 according to the 3x Metcalfe band indicator and around $88,700 corresponding to the upper boundary of the realized price model for traders.
