Bitcoin Bull Score Hits 80 as Price Surges to $79,000
The Bull Score, an index created by Cryptoquant to gauge the state of the Bitcoin market, has surged from 30 to 80 over the past week. This marks its highest reading since October 2025 and is the fastest shift in market conditions since the start of this year.
The move came as Bitcoin's price climbed by nearly 25% over the past ten days, briefly breaching $81,000 before settling back near $79,000. Eight out of ten underlying indicators used by Cryptoquant to calculate the Bull Score are now flashing bullish signals.
For the first time since early October 2025, both spot and futures demand for Bitcoin are rising together, a combination that Cryptoquant considers a stronger signal than either demand source moving alone.
Cryptoquant's researchers are cautious in their interpretation of this data, noting that a weekly close above $83,000 is needed to confirm a new bull market. This price point coincides with Bitcoin's 365-day moving average, which Cryptoquant treats as a long-term dividing line between improving and weakening conditions.
Until the price closes a full week above $83,000, Cryptoquant will characterize the current move as only the 'initial phase' of a potential new cycle rather than confirmation of one.
