Stablecoin cards are gaining traction as a practical means of consumer spending. According to Cryptorank, cumulative stablecoin card top-up volume reached $13.8 billion by August 2026, up by nearly $10 billion over the past 12 months.

$USDC currently leads tracked card spending, while $USDT is quickly gaining share. This reflects the different use cases for each stablecoin: $USDC has grown alongside fintech integrations and payment infrastructure, making it a natural fit for card programs, while $USDT remains deeply embedded in exchanges, remittances, and emerging markets.

The growth of stablecoin-funded spending is not limited to any particular blockchain. Cryptorank data shows that several chains handle meaningful activity, including Base, Solana, Polygon, Optimism, Arbitrum, Scroll, Ethereum, Stellar, and others.
