Bitcoin Bulls Eye $200k as Bull Cycle Takes Hold

Bitcoin has emerged from its bear market and is now in a new bull cycle. The cryptocurrency broke above its 21-week moving average at $69,272, confirming that the bear market was over. It's currently trading between $84,000 and $86,000, surpassing the May 2026 high and moving back above its 1-year moving average.

The True Market Mean, which is the average acquisition cost of all Bitcoin holders, is at $76,897. With the market now above this threshold, traders are more willing to increase leverage, as historically they've kept liquidating positions when sitting on losses. The market's FOMO (fear of missing out) has returned.

According to a debt model, Bitcoin's fair value is around $105,000, given the rise in US federal debt to $40.1 trillion. This should provide a structural tailwind for the cryptocurrency. However, a strengthening US dollar and short-term overbought conditions could bring a brief consolidation.

The minimum target of this cycle is set at $142,260, but it's not expected to be the peak. The eventual peak could reach $185,000-$215,000, as seen in previous cycles where the price premium over the True Market Mean reached around 85%. However, this may take time, with the last cycle taking roughly 19 months to move from the 85% signal to the final peak.

The next cycle top is likely to emerge in 2028-29 rather than being imminent. Bitcoin has reclaimed its major resistance zone and moved back above its 1-year moving average, setting a higher high and lifting the whole market above its average cost basis. The monthly cycle indicators confirm that the bear market is over.

Despite these predictions, it's essential to note that digital asset transactions can be precarious and volatile. Investment decisions should be made after considering individual circumstances and consulting financial professionals.
