Bitcoin's price plummeted to $76,500 on Tuesday, marking its lowest point in ten days. The cryptocurrency had been hovering around $79,000 for several days but was rejected at that level. The latest leg down followed reports of new US-Iran attacks, which some market watchers believe contributed to the correction.

The price drop also affected altcoins, with many of them retreating from their recent gains. Ethereum, XRP, and SOL are among those that saw significant losses, while Uniswap was a notable exception, surging by almost 10% to over $6.2. Other mid- and lower-cap alts, such as Filecoin (FIL) and Binary Tree (BTW), also defied the trend with gains of 14% and 13%, respectively.

Bitcoin's market cap has dropped below $1.550 trillion, and its dominance over altcoins has declined slightly to 59.6%. The total crypto market cap is down by almost 1% daily to $2.6 trillion on CoinMarketCap.
