Bitcoin ETFs See Sudden Reversal as Ether Surges to New Heights
Over the past week, US spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced $462.7 million in net outflows, ending a three-week streak of inflows.
This reversal is particularly striking since it occurred across four consecutive trading sessions from Tuesday to Friday, with Thursday being the worst day at $282.7 million in outflows.
The largest daily withdrawal came from ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF, which saw $234.2 million leave its funds, followed by Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust ETF at $129.1 million and BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF with $52.5 million.
However, it's worth noting that despite this week's reversal, Bitcoin ETFs are still positive for September overall, sitting at around $307.3 million in net inflows month to date.
In stark contrast, Ether ETFs saw a surge of interest, with BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF leading the charge on Friday with $148.8 million in inflows, followed by 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF with $29.1 million.
This trend is reflected in the broader Q3 picture, where the ETH/BTC ratio has risen over 25%, its highest quarterly gain since Q3 2025, and Ethereum's return on investment is approaching 60%, close to its all-time record of over 66% set last year.
