Bitcoin ETFs Surge to $6.34 Billion in Q3 as Bitcoin Soars
Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the US attracted $6.34 billion in net inflows during the third quarter of 2026, their strongest three-month period this year.
This marks a significant rebound from the second quarter, when there were approximately $5 billion in net outflows, according to data from SoSoValue.
The resurgence in fund flows coincided with one of Bitcoin's most powerful quarterly rallies in years. The largest cryptocurrency gained 42.71% over the three months, its strongest quarterly performance since the final quarter of 2024 and its best third-quarter return since 2017.
Bitcoin entered July near $58,500 before climbing above $80,000 in August and reaching above $86,000 in September. The advance was not evenly distributed: the token rose about 7.4% in July, surged nearly 25% in August, and added another 6.3% in September, leaving it around $83,600 at quarter's end.
The quarter ended on a weaker note, however, with Bitcoin ETFs recording roughly $149 million in net outflows on Wednesday, snapping a nine-day inflow streak that had attracted about $3.1 billion.
