The cryptocurrency market is showing mixed signals as Bitcoin and Ethereum gain ground while XRP extends its decline. The price of Bitcoin has been trading near $65,000 ahead of a potential deal between Iran and Oman on the management of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran and Oman are reportedly nearing the finalization of a strategic framework for commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, but any agreement would not necessarily guarantee the immediate reopening of the waterway, according to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.

Ethereum has extended its recovery for a second consecutive day and is reclaiming support above $1,900. However, XRP bears retain control as the price falls toward the critical $1.00 level amid a weak technical structure.
