Bitcoin Faces Uncertain Future After Sharp Decline Amid Macroeconomic Tensions
The month of July came to an end for cryptocurrencies, and it was not a strong finish. While Asian markets held up well, Wall Street stalled, causing a sharp decline in Bitcoin's price.
The BTC/USD pair fell 3.5% during the day to hit a low of $62,369, its lowest level in over two weeks. This correction occurs as US stock indices opened in the red before stagnating until the monthly close.
The divergence between traditional markets and alternative assets raises doubts about the strength of the summer rally. The historic surge of the South Korean KOSPI index, driven by the AI and semiconductor sector, has been a standout performer this month.
Despite the late decline, Bitcoin shows a 7.36% gain for the month overall, marking its best July performance since 2022. However, analyst Rekt Capital anticipates the possibility of a scenario aligned with the previous bearish cycle, warning that 'it is likely that the price tries to maintain these highs at the start of August, but history indicates that the price could retreat as it did in 2022'.
