Bitcoin Holds Firm Near $84,000 Amid Institutional Demand and ETF Inflows
Bitcoin held steady near $84,000 this week despite market hesitation and rising external pressures. Institutional demand remained strong, fueled by continued inflows into Bitcoin spot ETFs. According to SoSoValue, these funds recorded $134 million in net inflows on September 25, marking seven consecutive days of growth.
The influx of fresh capital brought the total to roughly $2.8 billion over six trading days, with Bitcoin ETFs posting net inflows every day during this period. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust led the pack, gathering $1.16 billion during the week, followed by Fidelity's FBTC and ARK 21Shares' ARKB.
Rising Treasury yields and regulatory uncertainty created challenges for Bitcoin during recent sessions. The US 10-year Treasury yield climbed above 5.2% on Friday, while SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce announced her departure from the agency on October 2. Her work on staking policies, token classification, and tokenized securities frameworks may have a lasting impact on the industry.
