Bitcoin Holds Firm Near $86K as Oil Prices Plummet Below $90
Bitcoin held steady around $86,000 on Tuesday as crude oil prices dipped below $90 per barrel. The drop in oil prices eased pressure on global markets, which had been influenced by recent events.
WTI crude oil plummeted to around $89.16 per barrel before recovering toward $92. This decline was attributed to reports that Saudi Arabia had reopened the East-West Pipeline, although full flows are expected to take several weeks.
US President Donald Trump's comments at the United Nations General Assembly also contributed to market sentiment. Trump stated he anticipated a potential deal to end the US-Iran conflict after the November midterm elections.
In related news, Glassnode reported that Bitcoin's MVRV ratio had surpassed its 365-day moving average, a threshold observed during previous bull markets in 2019 and 2023. The MVRV ratio stood at 1.62, up from 1.19 on August 16.
