Bitcoin Holds Steady Near $76,000 Amid Hawkish Tone and ETF Outflows
Bitcoin held steady near $76,000 after the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike, despite a hawkish tone from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh suggesting further tightening may follow.
ETF demand weakened sharply, with Bitcoin and Ethereum funds seeing combined outflows of nearly $592 million in a single day. According to Prateek Gupta, Head of Business at Mudrex, the BTC initially rallied but gave up those gains as Fed Chair Warsh struck a hawkish tone.
The global crypto market capitalisation was up 1.45% to $2.62 trillion, according to Coinmarketcap. Market analysts note that Bitcoin and Ethereum are holding firm despite the rate hike, indicating that the market had largely priced in the decision and is now looking beyond it towards the trajectory of monetary policy.
Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst at Delta Exchange, said that crypto markets have moved into a recovery phase after a highly volatile Federal Reserve session, but the broader technical structure still remains cautious. The next directional signal will depend on whether Bitcoin and Ether can reclaim nearby resistance zones while macro conditions remain firm.
