Bitcoin Japan Makes First Purchase of 11.9 BTC Through Subsidiary

Bitcoin Japan has made its first Bitcoin purchase through subsidiary BTC JPN Ltd., adding 11.9188 BTC to its coffers. The transaction took place on September 28 at an average price of $83,857.43 per Bitcoin, totaling approximately $999,500.

The company plans to continue buying Bitcoin within a total investment limit of ¥662 million.

Bitcoin Japan's origins date back to a Japanese textile business founded in 1861, which was formerly known as Hotta Marusho before shifting toward digital assets and other new businesses in 2025.
