Bitcoin May Get Boost as Investors Unwind Protective Positions in ETFs

JPMorgan analysts believe that Bitcoin may receive additional support as investors unwind their protective positions in cryptocurrency-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs), according to a recent report.

The report notes that while both gold and Bitcoin ETFs have experienced significant institutional investment, the positioning of investors around these assets differs. BTC funds have more substantial protective positions than those invested in gold ETFs.

JPMorgan's analysis indicates that gold ETFs have already recovered from previous outflows, whereas Bitcoin ETFs have only partially recouped their losses. This suggests that investors are hedging more effectively around Bitcoin compared to gold.
