Bitcoin Price Prediction Soars Above Key Resistance Level Amid Treasury's Bond Buyback Program
Bitcoin's price prediction is firmly bullish after it broke cleanly above a weekly fair value gap of around $74,092. The cryptocurrency traded near $76,712 on August 21, its highest level in three months.
The rally was driven by several factors, including the Treasury's decision to double its long-term bond buyback program, which reignited concerns about fiscal dominance. This move also triggered a short squeeze, with short sellers losing $4 billion over four days, the largest liquidation streak in crypto history.
Record ETF inflows are another key driver of the rally, with $606.29 million pouring into Bitcoin ETFs on August 20, the largest single-day inflow since May 1. This influx of institutional demand has been a major contributor to the price surge.
The next real test for Bitcoin will be its ability to absorb liquidity sitting between $82,850 and $86,074.72. If it can clear this hurdle, it would confirm that the move has staying power beyond the initial spike.
