Bitcoin Price Stalls Despite $2.65 Billion ETF Inflows
Bitcoin's price has stalled despite a significant influx of funds into the market. According to data from SoSoValue, US spot ETFs took in $2.65 billion in September, the second-highest monthly figure since October 2025. This follows a strong third quarter, where Bitcoin rose from $58,566 to $83,576, a gain of almost 43 percent. The funds now hold Bitcoin worth around $109.3 billion.
The price of Bitcoin has been stuck in a narrow range since 21 September, between $83,500 and $86,600. This has led to speculation about why the price is not rising despite the significant inflows. One theory is that long-term holders are taking profits after the quarterly gain, while others believe that sellers are outweighing buyers.
Meanwhile, the contrast with Ether is notable. While Bitcoin ETFs were taking in money, $55.4 million flowed out of the Ether ETFs, the third minus in a row. This suggests that institutional investors are leaning towards Bitcoin at the start of the fourth quarter.
