Bitcoin Price Steady Near $64K as Hype Leads Crypto Gainers
The Bitcoin price hovered near $63,800 early on Thursday, August 13, as the cryptocurrency market struggled to gain momentum from the latest U.S. inflation report.
The July consumer prices rose by 0.1% monthly and 3.4% annually, matching economists' expectations for headline inflation.
Despite this, Bitcoin failed to break above $65,000, with repeated attempts to establish a stronger move above that region unsuccessful.
HYPE was the clear large-cap outperformer, gaining roughly 4-5% over 24 hours, while Velvet topped CoinMarketCap's top-100 movers with a 23.76% surge.
