Bitcoin Price Surges Past $84,000 Amid Treasury Yield Easing
Bitcoin's (BTC) price has surged to over $84,000 as Treasury yields have eased. According to CoinDesk, the Bitcoin Price Index rose by 1.28% to $84,628.51, with the largest percentage increase since September 21, 2026, when it gained 6.60%. This comes after a sharp turnaround in Q3 for U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, which attracted $6.34 billion in net inflows after losing roughly $5 billion in the second quarter.
Despite rising Treasury yields, which many view as bearish for risk assets, Bitcoin has remained resilient according to Mark Moss, who cautions against jumping to conclusions. The 30-year Treasury yield is near record levels, but this has not deterred investors from buying into the cryptocurrency market.
Saifedean Ammous, an economist and author, notes that Strategy's (NASDAQ:MSTR) Bitcoin treasury model may be impossible for any other company to replicate, citing its unique design. Meanwhile, SEC Chairman Paul Atkins has released a statement addressing the custody of crypto assets, acknowledging the growth of the crypto asset market from a niche curiosity into a multi-trillion-dollar asset class.
