Bitcoin Seeks to Close Year Above $87,498 Amid Fund Influx
Bitcoin's price has recovered significantly from its September low of $74,888, fueled by a record $999 million inflow into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs on September 21. The fund influx marked the strongest daily total in nearly a year and included substantial investments from BlackRock ($381 million), ARK ($289 million), and Fidelity ($239 million). This influx of new capital helped drive the price up by 15% from its low, but it's uncertain how long this momentum will last.
Despite the recent recovery, Bitcoin still lags behind its year-open price of $87,498. To close the year in the green, Bitcoin must surpass this level by December 31. With only 14 weeks left for this to happen, time is of the essence. The Federal Reserve's interest rate hike and the Senate's rejection of the CLARITY Act pose challenges for Bitcoin's future performance.
Rising interest rates and a 10-year Treasury yield near 5% may curb Bitcoin's growth, making it harder for it to reach its target. However, if fund inflows continue at their current pace, Bitcoin might just manage to finish the year positively.
