Bitcoin Soars Past September High Amidst Widespread Short Liquidations
Bitcoin's price surged to $84,984 on Monday, marking its highest level since September.
This significant increase of 5.4% within a 24-hour period came amidst massive short liquidations, with a total of $746 million in positions being closed out.
A substantial $647.9 million of these liquidated positions were attributed to shorts, indicating a shift in market sentiment.
According to Coinglass data, Bitcoin shorts accounted for $277.5 million of the total liquidations, while Ether shorts contributed $122.8 million.
