Bitcoin Stays Above $63,000 or Faces Uncertain Market
Bitcoin's next major move may depend on whether it can stay above $63,000, according to a recent report by 10x Research. This level is considered a 'binary level' that could significantly shift market sentiment.
The report notes that Bitcoin spent around six months consolidating around the $60,000 mark before President Trump's victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election helped propel it to $90,000. The researchers also point out that there was relatively little turnover between $70,000 and $90,000 during the rally, making the current range more important for Bitcoin's next move.
Galipeau, a strategist at Franklin Templeton, noted in a panel discussion with Scott Melker on August 17 that markets can begin turning when increasingly negative news stops producing additional selling pressure. This could indicate seller exhaustion and a developing bottom.
