Bitcoin Steadies as BoJ Flags Possible Rate Hikes
The cryptocurrency market remains stable, with Bitcoin trading near $65,000. The price of BTC is above its 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $64,702 but still below its 100-day and 200-day EMAs. This technical analysis suggests a bearish tone in the broader market.
The Bank of Japan's summary of opinions from its July meeting has raised concerns about potential rate hikes. Nearly half of the board members leaned hawkish, indicating a possible increase in interest rates. This development could impact the cryptocurrency market as it may lead to increased selling pressure on Bitcoin and other assets.
Pump.fun (PUMP) and CurveDAO (CRV) are leading gains over the last 24 hours. PUMP has extended its 11% gains from Sunday, trading near its six-month high. The token maintains a bullish bias as it breaks out of a falling wedge pattern. CRV, on the other hand, is inching closer to $0.2400, maintaining a bearish picture due to its position below its 200-day EMA.
