Bitcoin Struggles as AI Boom Sucks Up Capital
Bitcoin's sluggish performance is not due to a lack of liquidity, according to Arthur Hayes. Speaking on June 26, Hayes explained that the AI investment boom has become the market's biggest capital magnet, absorbing nearly every fresh dollar that would have otherwise flowed into crypto.
In his view, this shift in capital allocation is responsible for Bitcoin's lagging performance despite global money printing. Hayes pointed out that the influx of new funds into AI investments has created a significant demand for dollars, leaving little room for cryptocurrency investors to enter the market.
