Whales in the Bitcoin market have added $1.22 billion since October 1, fueling what one analyst calls a 'lockout rally' toward $100,000. John Gillen, host of the Milk Road on Benzinga, expressed confidence, stating, 'Bitcoin is headed straight to $100,000. I'm long as hell.' This sentiment reflects growing bullishness among large investors.
Additionally, Genius Group announced the purchase of 10 Bitcoin for $854,000 between October 2-5, 2026, at an average price of $85,364 per BTC. This move underscores increasing institutional interest in Bitcoin as a long-term value preservation asset. BlackRock, with $15 trillion in assets, also suggested that AI agents might choose Bitcoin for its store-of-value properties.
Since adopting the Bitcoin Standard in 2020, Strategy (MSTR.US) and Bitcoin (BTC.CC) have delivered annualized returns of 52% and 38%, respectively, outperforming traditional benchmarks like stocks, gold, real estate, and bonds. This performance highlights the growing role of digital assets in modern investment strategies.
