Bitcoin Surges Above $86K as Crypto Market Tops $3 Trillion
Bitcoin's price surged above $86,000 for the first time since January, extending its rally that lifted the broader cryptocurrency market to over $3 trillion.
The rally has coincided with a more supportive U.S. regulatory backdrop and heavy short liquidations, which added fuel to Bitcoin's rally.
Strategy (MSTR), Coinbase (COIN), Circle (CRCL), and shares of other crypto-linked large-cap equities edged lower in early morning trade on Tuesday, despite the price of Bitcoin continuing to climb.
MSTR stock fell 1.7%, while COIN shares dropped around the same percentage. CRCL's stock, however, took a bigger hit at 2.5%.
