Bitcoin Surges as US Inflation Print Comes in Below Forecast
The Bitcoin price has surged after the US inflation print came in at 3.4%, below the forecasted 3.45%. This modest miss has eased pressure on rate expectations, giving risk assets a lift.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $77,561.70, up 1.30% on the day. The broader market capitalization has also ticked higher alongside the CPI-driven relief, with 24-hour trading volume climbing as buyers stepped back in following the inflation data.
The price action suggests that Bitcoin is still consolidating within a tight range, capped by resistance near $78,000-$80,000. Support clusters in the $76,000-$77,000 zone, and a clean break below would open the door toward the low $70,000s.
