Bitcoin Surges Past $80,000 Amid Institutional Influx
Bitcoin's price has surged past $80,000, reaching an intraday high of $86,000 this week as institutional capital continues to flow into spot ETFs. K33 recorded the largest single-day ETP net inflow since November 2024, signaling a rapid expansion in institutional allocation demand.
K33 analysts argue that the current cycle low has been established based on historical drawdown comparisons and fund flow data. They note that Bitcoin's maximum drawdown this time has been shallower and shorter in duration than previous cycles.
Nexo, however, cautions that recent trading volumes have contracted and derivatives market positioning is less than ideal. The company suggests the current rally may be driven solely by short-covering pressure rather than a sustainable uptrend.
