Bitcoin Surges to $86,404 as Crypto Market Advances
The cryptocurrency market saw broad gains over the past 24 hours, with Bitcoin leading the charge. The largest cryptocurrency by market cap climbed 1.88% to reach $86,404.32. Over the past week, Bitcoin has surged 3.81%, and over the past month, it has gained an impressive 8.54%.
Other major cryptocurrencies also posted gains. Ethereum rose 1.26% to $2,726.96, while BNB increased 1.69% to $796.88. Zcash saw a 2.29% rise to $1,335.91. Monero and Bitcoin Cash also advanced, gaining 0.54% and 0.66% respectively. The only outlier was Bittensor, which declined 0.71% to $302.98.
Among gold-backed cryptocurrencies, PAX Gold (PAXG) edged up 0.06% to $4,151. Data for Tether Gold was not included in the report.
Analysts attribute the market's upward trend to a sharp decline in expectations that the U.S. Federal Reserve will raise interest rates in October. This shift follows weaker-than-expected U.S. labor market data. Additionally, a weaker U.S. dollar and stabilization in the bond market have boosted investor interest in riskier assets, including cryptocurrencies.
