The Bitcoin market experienced a significant flash crash on August 19th, with prices plummeting over 6% in just six minutes. This sudden drop led to the liquidation of $108 billion in short positions and $500 million in longs. However, despite this volatility, Bitcoin has managed to maintain its weekly gains, rising by 21%.

According to data from SoSoValue, Bitcoin ETFs recorded their highest inflows day on record, with a total of $507 million pouring into the market. The largest Bitcoin ETF, IBIT, led the charge, attracting $285 million in investments and accounting for 56% of all inflows.

This influx of capital has sparked hope among investors that the crypto cycle may be entering a new bullish phase. With over $5 billion in shorts already squeezed out this month, some analysts believe that Bitcoin is poised for an even bigger move higher.
