Bitcoin to Hit $1 Million Faster Than Expected, Says Binance Founder CZ Zhao
Binance Founder CZ Zhao spoke at the Bitcoin Asia 2026 conference in Hong Kong on August 27, where he predicted that Bitcoin will reach $1 million per coin faster than expected. He believes this milestone is inevitable and will happen sooner rather than later.
Zhao argued that Bitcoin's limited supply, digital nature, and global transferability give it inherent advantages over gold, which currently has a market capitalization of $32.2 trillion compared to Bitcoin's roughly $1.6 trillion. He emphasized that the transition to Bitcoin will not be immediate, as major countries have built complete valuation, reserve, and trading systems around gold.
Zhao also stressed the importance of national adoption and reserve assets, urging governments to begin building cryptocurrency reserves. He noted that many countries still hold none, and warned that resisting digital innovation risks falling behind economically.
