Bitcoin hovered near $65,000 on Friday as escalating Middle East tensions weighed on sentiment in the cryptocurrency market. Ethereum also traded lower, falling 2.23% over the past 24 hours.

Nischal Shetty, founder of WazirX, attributed Bitcoin's decline to geopolitical tensions dampening investor sentiment and prompting a shift towards safer assets. Ethereum weakened as traders monitored institutional positioning and broader market uncertainty.

The global crypto market capitalisation dropped 0.7% to $2.22 trillion, according to CoinMarketCap. US spot Bitcoin ETFs extended their inflow streak to seven consecutive sessions, attracting nearly $1 billion in total.
