Bitcoin Whale Awakens with $1 Billion Transfer Amid Price Slump

A massive Bitcoin transfer has sent shockwaves through the market after a dormant wallet moved $1.04 billion worth of BTC.

The transaction, which took place on August 3, involved 16,400 BTC being transferred from the inactive wallet to a newly created address.

Although the timing of the transfer is noteworthy given the current price slump, analysts believe it may not have a significant impact on market liquidity. The funds did not enter an exchange-controlled wallet, instead moving directly to a new address.

The transaction represents roughly 0.078% of Bitcoin's fixed 21 million supply and ranks among the largest BTC transfers recorded this year.
