Bitcoin's Momentum Carries Over Into Q4 Amid Renewed Institutional Demand
Bitcoin's momentum from September is carrying over into Q4, with renewed institutional demand and a more supportive macro backdrop driving market sentiment. The cryptocurrency outperformed major traditional assets in September, gaining around 6.4%, while U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted billions of dollars in fresh capital. Strategy added another 1,665 BTC to its holdings, further evidence of continued institutional demand.
The broader crypto market also participated in the rebound, with some altcoins gaining as capital flowed back into digital assets. Macroeconomic conditions became somewhat more supportive of risk assets toward the end of September, with softer-than-expected inflation data pushing Treasury yields lower and reducing market expectations for another Federal Reserve rate hike in October.
The outlook for Bitcoin remains divided, with 10x Research expecting October could mark the beginning of another leg higher for Bitcoin. However, other cycle-based analysis presents a different scenario, suggesting that further volatility may lie ahead before the market establishes a longer-term direction.
