Bitcoin's Rare August-September Streak Puts $100K Within Reach
Bitcoin's recent performance has put it on track for its first positive August-September combination since at least 2013. This pattern historically sets up a strong 'Uptober.' CoinGlass data shows Bitcoin gained 24.95% in August, its third-strongest August since 2013 and best since 2017.
Meanwhile, September is up 7.3% so far with five trading days left in the month, already narrowly topping September 2024 as the strongest September in the dataset, against a typical September loss of 2.34%. Compounded together, Bitcoin's two-month gain sits near 34.1% based on the current snapshot.
Crypto analyst Ali Martinez pointed out that whales used the recent weakness to load up, accumulating roughly 30,269 BTC worth around $2.57 billion over the past 96 hours.
