Bitdeer Diversifies into Full-Stack AI Cloud to Reduce Revenue Risks
Bitdeer is expanding its infrastructure strategy from Bitcoin mining to full-stack AI Cloud and Model Studio. The company's move into AI Cloud is seen as a way for power-rich operators to generate additional revenue beyond mining hardware.
In a recent report, Hashrate Index calculated that one megawatt of power can earn about $2,491 per day in gross revenue from Bitcoin mining, but this number can fluctuate depending on various factors such as electricity costs, miner efficiency, and network difficulty. In contrast, AI Cloud offers a more stable source of income, with revenue following GPU utilization rates and customer contracts rather than Bitcoin price and network difficulty.
Bitdeer's AI Cloud offers a range of services, including virtual machines, bare-metal servers, containers, distributed training, serverless inference, and AI agent deployment. The platform also supports various NVIDIA GPUs, including the H100, H200, B200, GB200 NVL72, and GB300 NVL72.
Public on-demand pricing for Bitdeer's AI Cloud is competitive with other providers in the market, with single-GPU list rates ranging from $2.596 to $5.159 per hour depending on the GPU model. The company reports 95% utilization of its deployed GPUs and approximately $76 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) as of July 31, 2026.
Bitdeer's move into AI Cloud is seen as a diversification strategy, allowing the company to generate additional revenue streams beyond Bitcoin mining. The useful test for the Nasdaq-listed operator will be whether each converted megawatt produces steadier cash returns after GPU depreciation and site costs.
