Bitget Hits 45 Consecutive Months of Proof-of-Reserves Transparency with 122% Reserve Ratio
Bitget has published its August 2026 Proof of Reserves (PoR) report, marking the 45th consecutive monthly disclosure since the program began in December 2022. The exchange revealed a total reserve ratio of 122% for the month.
The PoR report is part of Bitget's asset-protection framework and provides visibility into different parts of the platform's assets. A reserve ratio above 100% indicates that the reported reserves for tracked assets exceed the corresponding user balances included in the snapshot.
Bitget also publishes monthly Protection Fund valuation reports, which are backed by 5,500 BTC held as a separate protection reserve. The fund's August valuation ranged from approximately $345.3 million on August 1 to $441.5 million on August 27, with an average monthly valuation of $382 million.
The exchange uses a Merkle-tree structure for its PoR, allowing users to independently verify whether their balances were included in the reserve snapshot without exposing other customers' account information.
