Bitget Joins Protected Custody Roster with Sygnum Partnership
Bitget has moved its institutional collateral to Sygnum's off-exchange custody solution. This move is part of Protect, a program that allows exchanges like Bitget to segregate their clients' assets from their own funds.
Sygnum's custody solution provides an additional layer of security for Bitget's clients by keeping their assets separate and under the control of the Swiss bank. The collateral is then mirrored back to the exchange, allowing trading to continue uninterrupted.
This move makes Bitget the fourth venue on Protect, following in the footsteps of Binance, Deribit, and Bybit. This development underscores the growing importance of institutional-grade custody solutions for cryptocurrency exchanges.
