Bitget Marks 8th Anniversary with Enhanced Security and Compliance Push
Bitget, a popular cryptocurrency exchange, is celebrating its 8th anniversary by emphasizing its commitment to security and compliance. The platform's Chief Legal Officer, Hon Ng, highlighted the importance of transparency in an industry often plagued by scandals and controversies.
The exchange has implemented several measures to increase user trust, including the Proof of Reserves (PoR) mechanism, which involves releasing reserve data on a monthly basis. According to Bitget's 46th consecutive PoR report for September 2026, the total reserve ratio stands at 135%, significantly exceeding the minimum requirement of 1:1.
Bitget has also expanded its coverage of PoR from four assets to 19, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP. This move aims to provide users with more transparency and flexibility in managing their assets.
In addition to PoR, Bitget has established a Protection Fund, which was initially funded with $300 million. As of August 2026, the average amount of the fund stood at approximately $382 million.
