Bitget, a cryptocurrency exchange, has issued an update on its security incident. The attackers exploited vulnerabilities in third-party products to obtain internal credentials and issue fraudulent withdrawal commands.

The private keys and cold wallets were not compromised, according to the exchange. Bitcoin withdrawals are now live, with 9,585 orders totaling 4,098.036 BTC processed as of 17:00 UTC+8.

Other assets will return in phases, with a target date for completion set at October 2. The Protection Fund, which covers affected user funds, is being restored to over $300 million within the week.
