Bitget Resumes Withdrawals as Hacker Moves $83 Million in Stolen XRP
Bitget has resumed Bitcoin withdrawals four days after a security breach saw $387.5 million in assets transferred to attacker-controlled wallets.
The exchange said it had identified and remediated the vulnerability behind the incident and conducted additional security checks across its withdrawal infrastructure.
Withdrawals will be restored in phases, with ETH scheduled for September 29 and USDT on September 30. Other tokens, fiat withdrawals, and P2P services are set to return on October 2.
The hacker has moved $83 million in stolen XRP across new wallets, with Circle and Tether freezing $318,000 worth of assets linked to the hack.
