Bitget Wallet Revolutionizes Nigerian Financial Landscape with Innovative Features
Bitget Wallet's COO says that when Nigerians test their new wallet, they usually start by bringing in an existing balance or receiving a payment. However, many users then go on to transfer part of it into naira, as they want to see the exit work before fully trusting the entrance.
The company has seen significant growth in monthly card volume, with $271 million in May last year and $656 million this year. Their new features aim to provide a seamless user experience, including the ability to pay cashback in Bitcoin, gold or tokenized stocks instead of cash.
Bitget's Assetback rewards users for their spending habits by allowing them to choose how they receive their cashback. This can be in the form of Bitcoin, gold, or tokenized US equities through xStocks, which is a more transparent and flexible approach than traditional rewards models.
The company has also launched an affiliate programme, which pays creators up to 60% of trading fees generated by users they refer, with no volume requirement attached. This programme aims to incentivize community managers and influencers to promote the wallet's features and benefits.
