BitGo Acquires NYDIG's Institutional Trading Division for $42.5 Million

BitGo has completed its acquisition of NYDIG's institutional trading division for $42.5 million, expanding its service portfolio to include derivatives trading, structured products, financing solutions, and capital markets capabilities.

The deal also brings over 30 professionals from NYDIG's trading team to BitGo, who will maintain continuity in delivering expected solutions to clients with enhanced resources and capabilities.

NYDIG is refocusing its efforts on Bitcoin mining operations, power generation infrastructure, and high-performance computing data center development, following the divestiture of its institutional trading division.

BitGo's CEO, Mike Belshe, stated that this acquisition will significantly expand the company's trading operations and infrastructure capabilities, positioning it to accommodate a wider spectrum of institutional market participants.
