BitMart Pursues Phased Operations with Restructuring Plan
BitMart is working on a restructuring plan that could allow for a phased resumption of its operations, providing an alternative to a complete shutdown. The plan may include distributions to creditors under an orderly arrangement and still requires evaluations from legal, financial, operational, and regulatory perspectives.
The exchange has appointed White & Case as restructuring counsel to assess potential options and develop a framework for restructuring and phased operations. It is also working with advisers on a broader roadmap.
BitMart announced the plan on August 21, 2026, aiming to provide further updates by September 9, 2026.
