BitMEX Co-Founder Delo Funds Reform UK with £4 Million

Share

Reform UK, a UK-based political party led by Nigel Farage, has received a significant portion of its funding from BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo. According to Electoral Commission records, Delo donated £4 million in April, accounting for approximately 75% of the party's second-quarter donations of £5.3 million.

This is not Delo's first contribution to Reform UK; he also donated £4 million during the first quarter of this year. In total, his donations amount to £8 million in 2026. Delo's contributions have raised questions about the party's funding sources and the potential influence of crypto industry donors.

The party has stated that it is supported by successful British entrepreneurs, but critics argue that its funding model may not be transparent enough. The UK government has introduced a moratorium on political donations made in cryptocurrency, which some lawmakers have called for to be made permanent.
