Bitmine Surpasses 6 Million Ethereum Tokens in Record Accumulation

Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has reached an impressive milestone in its Ethereum holdings, surpassing 6 million tokens. This achievement comes just over a year into the company's strategic accumulation of ETH for long-term investment.

The company's total crypto, cash, and marketable securities holdings now stand at $17.2 billion, with its ETH holdings making up a significant portion of that amount. Bitmine owns 4.9% of the total ETH supply of 122.1 million tokens, putting it more than 98% of the way to its goal of acquiring 5% of the total ETH supply.

Bitmine's Chairman, Thomas 'Tom' Lee, attributed this success to the company's consistent buying strategy, stating that Bitmine has bought ETH every week since the inception of its ETH Treasury Strategy on June 30, 2025. The company also highlighted its staking operations, which generated a 7-day yield of 2.62% (annualized) as of September 27, 2026.

Lee also emphasized the growing importance of Ethereum in the market, noting that it has outperformed other macro assets by 6,728 basis points this quarter. He stated that institutions are still underweight crypto and expect them to increase their exposure in the final months of 2026.
