Bitrue Marks Eight Years with ADA, Despite XRP Dominance
Bitrue marked its eighth anniversary by highlighting its long-standing relationship with Cardano (ADA), despite being known as an exchange centered on the XRP ecosystem. The cryptocurrency exchange stated that it had been supporting ADA from the beginning, listing it as one of the assets available for trading when it launched in 2018 and later moving early to support Cardano native tokens (CNT).
Bitrue claimed to be the first cryptocurrency exchange to list CNT and introduced ADA as a base currency so other digital assets could be traded directly against ADA. The company also participated in the Cardano Summit for several years, demonstrating its commitment to the ecosystem.
In addition to trading infrastructure and ecosystem participation, Bitrue contributed to decentralization activities and technology development within the Cardano ecosystem. According to Bitrue, 'For 8 years we have been building the ecosystem together with Cardano, and there is still work to be done,' emphasizing its intent to continue supporting the Cardano ecosystem.
However, despite its strong relationship with ADA, XRP still dominates Bitrue's current operating structure. The exchange's 24-hour trading volume exceeded $446.82 million, but ADA trading accounted for only $977,221, representing a limited share in actual trading and holdings.
