Pro-Crypto PAC Targets Democrat in WI Congressional Race

Share

A pro-crypto political action committee (PAC) is targeting Democratic challenger Mitchell Berman in Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District.

The ad, sponsored by the crypto-backed PAC 'Wisconsin Working PAC', criticizes Berman as a 'radical activist' who 'can't be trusted.'

The ad references a 2023 incident where Berman was escorted out of Raymond School after stopping at the office to request documents. The PAC claims this shows Berman's extreme agenda and ability to push policies that will drive up costs.

Berman is looking to unseat Republican incumbent Bryan Steil, who has advocated for the cryptocurrency industry during his time in Congress. Steil received $764,000 in ad buys from a crypto-backed PAC during his 2024 reelection campaign.
